Living a Kingdom Life
But seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33.
A Kingdom Life...Maybe I grew up with a "Mayberry" (perfect life) attitude, where life seemed innocent and good. Oh my goodness! What happened? We can't turn on a television or go see movies without profanity, nudity, or transgender references. What was right is now wrong and what was wrong is now right. Know this my fellow Christians, we were made to oppose evil, to be a threat to the forces of injustice in the world? How do we know what a Kingdom-minded person should think or act like? In the Bible, these words are printed in red and indicates it's importance. Kingdom living is based upon God's Word. It is a lifestyle. Aligning our lives with His purpose, prioritizing God in our decision making, and honoring Him with our words and actions. We think about the things of God and take our thought captive and pursue God's honor and glory in all we say and do. It involves unwavering commitment to God's principles, even when we are surrounded by a world that often opposes them. Remember that we are ministring to eternal souls, not just human beings.
As believers, we are reborn into the family of God and into His Kingdom. "Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but citizens with the saints and members of the household of God." Ephesians 2:19.
"So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place." Luke 21:31-32.
"There can be no Kingdom of God in the world without the Kingdom of God in our hearts!"
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
