Who's Your Role Model
"Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift is to those who stay the course! James 5:10-11.
Mentoring...Who was your role model? Someone that made a difference in your life? The Bible is full of fascinating stories about women who can still be role models for each of us today. For centuries these women have inspired, enlightened, and empowered us with their unadorned faith and continue to teach us how to live authentic, God-touched lives today. God enabled ordinary women to live extraordinary lives by turning their weaknesses into strengths, their sorrows into joy, and their despair into hope. I would imagine some of you have never thought of yourself as a role model. But you are! You are a remarkable woman just as those women were so many years ago. Your story will matter. This is your story to share, how you choose to live will be your legacy. May God empower you to be someone's role model. Look for opportunities to speak into someones life today. Along the way, you will see God's amazing transforming grace.
"Whatever you learned or received or heard from me, or seen in Me, put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:9.
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
