Come Away With Me (My Garden)
"Come away with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." Mark 6:31.
My Garden...What a difference a week makes! Last week I was standing on one side of a huge task that seemed impossible for me. That was where my heart was a week ago. In my mind I had imagined every plant in it's fullness not really thinking of what it would take to get from point A to B. Naïve, I suppose, I'm no stranger to planting gardens. I love nature! But this garden was very special. My garden (nature) has become my "Come away with Me" place to spend time with my Creator. I love all God's creatures but especially birds. Did you know God speaks to us through nature? "Feed them and they will come." Do you have a special place to meet with God everyday? It doesn't have to be outside, in a garden or in your closet. From the very beginning, God has stated His desire to meet with us. The garden is where Eve first met God. I meet Him there too, every time I pull a weed, fertilize, or water the plants. In my garden I learn about His provision, timing, grace, and glory. Don't let the challenges of life keep you away from this very special time spent with your Creator. It's all the sweeter when you purpose a special place. A whole family of swallows has moved in! That's my God!! What looked impossible a week ago looks like the most beautiful garden imaginable. Oh! How Sweet it is!
"Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places. And her wilderness He will make like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in her, Thanksgiving and sound of a melody." Isaiah 51:3
