Broken Pieces

What's on My Heart Today

Broken Pieces

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have it's full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. " James 1:2-4.

Broken...This I know, affliction of some sort, comes to all our doors. Some more than others. We feel beaten down and discouraged and we wonder how our life could ever be restored. This is definitely not a comfortable place to inhabit. Do you sometimes find yourself doubting God can make anything beautiful out of the shattered pieces of your life? It's easy to forget the beauty and joy that come from this bittersweet place because we are too busy trying to cope with all that's come our way. Broken pieces can be painful, yet, such a beautiful place to be. Jesus said, " My grace is sufficient for you, My power is made perfect in weakness." Be encouraged, Jesus uses our broken pieces to be MORE than enough! If you are feeling as though your life is a broken vessel, don't throw away the pieces! There are blessings in brokenness! Jesus came to bring life, freedom, restoration, healing, favor, goodness, and joy. One of the hardest lessons we Christians have to learn is how to be joyful in the midst of our trials. Joy is not determined by our circumstances but something we choose regardless of our circumstances. Whatever your situation, your state of mind, there is blessings in your broken pieces. God is moving in ways you don’t understand right now. Just breathe and allow Him to calm the storm in your heart.

"You will be like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8.

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
