Face in the Mirror

What's On My Heart Today

"Face in the Mirror"

"Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16.

Face in the Mirror… Do you ever ask yourself, "Do other people see Jesus in me?" I pondered this question one day recently when I was getting ready for church as I looked into the mirror. Paul said in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." I've been a believer most of my life, but have I honestly always let others see Christ in my life" I think not. Here's the thing, if we serve God, our purpose everyday should be, "Let me tell you what Jesus does in my life." Friends, people are watching us whether we like it or not, especially if we claim to be a believer. They watch to see if our behavior matches our belief, if our walk matches our talk, if our character matches our confession. If the world is watching us, then we should be watching Christ. Calling ourselves a follower of Christ means Jesus must be on the throne of our life and that He is the One other's must see in everything we do. Here are the facts, our integrity is put to the test every day, in virtually every situation. We are watched closely to see how we will respond. Do others see Jesus' love and grace in you...Thoughts to ponder today.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, joy, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control?
