Open My Eyes

"Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains." John 9:41

There is a marked difference between physical blindness and spiritual blindness. A blind person knows that they are blind; people who are spiritually blind do not know that they are blind. Most of the people who are spiritually blind are completely convinced that they are religious or spiritual people. Sadly, a substantial portion of them can be found in Christian churches every Sunday. What does your words and actions show to the world outside of your church? The Bible teaches that before we are Christians, we are blind to spiritual truth. Jesus, when delivering the sermon on the Mount, described it this way. "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" Each of us has a measure of light and a measure of darkness. God wants to bringing spiritual healing and fullness to our life in and out of church. Ask Him to open your eyes.

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” John 8:12
