What's on My Heart Today "Sisterhood...Grace in Action!"
"So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another." Romans 12:5.
Sisterhood...I grew up an only child. You rarely miss what you don't have. In my twenties, I was blessed with three daughters that more than made up for my lack of "sisterhood." It wasn't until mid-life that I began feeling like something was missing. The Holy Spirit whispered in my heart, "I was missing a sisterhood." A village of sister's to be exact! God's daughters, were created to share life together. All with the same fears, hope and prayers that feel so familiar. Unlike our sweet hubbies, who are hunters and gatherers, sister's have a built-in need for community. We have been in the same valleys and climbed the same mountain tops. Each journey filled with sorrow and joy. We all have burdens to unpack. We step beside each other, lock arms and step on the spiritual battlefields together. Sister friends will require you to pick up each others heartaches, shoulder each others losses and share each others joy. Sisterhood is a beautiful thing when we allow God to walk out our life before us. Including who we allow close to our heart. Be present in your relationships. It will call you to lay 'self' down and pick up the heart of God. Sisterhood... Grace in action!
"A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
