House of Prayer

What's on My Heart Today

House of Prayer

"Even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. For My house will be called a House of Prayer for all peoples." Isaiah 56:7.

PRAYER...Prayer has become the bedrock of our existence in our home! We are blessed with a large family and God moves our hearts to pray a hedge of protection around each of them everyday. It's important to understand that Spiritual warfare is real! We need to grasp with our heart the truth that we are fully dependent upon God for ALL things. Prayer is intimately connected with God's presence. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit and Jesus invites you to spend time in His presence. God's will is that we would seek His face and intercede for others in prayer. Scripture tells us to "pray without ceasing, at all times, in every situation, continually. Take heart in knowing when you pray, God is listening. Prayer opens the floodgates for God to intervene. Is your house a house of prayer? Start a prayer journal. Having a place to note your prayers helps with remembering who you are praying for and allows you to rejoice when a prayer is answered. If you are taking a walk and enjoying the beauty of God's creation, pray. When you learn someone is in need of prayer, pause and pray. We must be a people who pray. I pray that God draws you so deeply into a life of prayer that you read, think and speak prayerfully. We do not want it to be said, "we have not because we ask not." As your soul yearns after God, you will find more and still more of His unsearchable graces. Pray!

"Who shall climb the mountain of the Lord? Who shall stand in His holy place? The man with clean hands and pure heart, who desires not worthless things." Psalm 24:3-4.

May God bless you with His presence, keep your faith strong, cause your hope to remain steadfast, and keep your heart filled with peace.
