Holy Discontentment

What's on My Heart Today

 Holy Discontentment

"To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled." Titus 1:15.

Food for thought. What does "Holy Discontentment" mean to you? There are many ways to discern this but it simply comes down to this, when you experience an uneasy spirit which aligns with the heart of God! Why should this matter? What offends God should also offend us. It refuses to whitewash sin. Yet, everyday we have become adapted to allowing sin through our eyes, ears and mind like it's normal. It sneaks in the back door of our hearts and takes up residence. How is that? When we watch tv or movies that exploit sex, profanity, abuse we just exceept it as the norm and continue watching. Bad jokes don't offend us or conversations that shade truth. It can be gossip or defamatory thoughts. If the Bible calls it sin, it should be offensive to us. No, we can't be perfect, but we can be aware. Everything that matters to us, matters to God. Do the choices we make everyday bring honor to God? If your in a place that your spirit feels uneasy, stop and look inward, maybe it's time to make changes. Allow the Holy Spirit to stir within you a Holy Discontentment when you might otherwise not notice. God gives us contentment when we work on our Holy Discontentment. We are called to be fearless warriors and mighty ambassadors for Christ. Let us live worthy of that!

"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, My rock and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14.

Sweetest Blessings,

Jo
