Walking in His Purpose

What's On My Heart Today

Walking in His Purpose

"Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." Proverb's 19:21

Purpose...A New Year is right around the corner and I find myself wondering what this new year will bring into my life. I hear one word, "Purpose." I thought this was fascinating and thought-provoking. Did you know that you were born with a specific purpose? Do you know what your purpose is? Once you learn what your purpose is, there is so much more meaning in your life. As followers of Jesus, each of us received the promise of the Holy Spirit, who bestows upon us various talents called Spiritual gifts. For example, Mary was entrusted with being the earthly mother of Jesus. She brought glory to God in a very unique way that no one else could. That singing voice you have? That's not by your power, but by God's. Your ability to communicate and get lost in conversation? From God. What are you good at? What are you passionate about? We are serving God's purpose...not our own. Does age matter? Absolutely not! You came onto this world with your gifting's and you will leave with your gifting's. What matters is what you did with them in your life journey. Those gifts are not for your own pleasure. They are for building God's Kingdom. We have an amazing opportunity to find our purpose, connect with our passion and look for the opportunity God provides to serve someone and make a difference. It will bring joy, both to other's as well as ourselves. Speak to God. Immerse yourself in His Word. Live a life that in every moment seeks to glorify the creator of all things. When you do find it you will not miss out of your God-given purpose.

"Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve." Jeremiah 32:19.
