Different But the Same (United in Love)

What's On My Heart Today

Different But the Same (United in Love)

“May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for the followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” Romans 15:5-7.

Different But the Same...'Always remember' or 'Never forget'. Two phrases that are synonymous with each other that appear to be opposing at first glance. So, it is with the way we as humans see things. Some see the glass half empty and others see it half full. Is one right and one wrong? No, not at all. It showcases the way God designed us to be different, but equally the same. If we take our eyes off of God, our differences become glaring. Christian sisters are different. We look different; we’re gifted with different gifts, given different talents, and have different opinions. We dress differently, vote differently, and worship differently. It is in our differences that trouble brews. Oh! The enemy loves that. Rather than focus on our similarities, we often pick fault with each other’s differences. Different though we are…we’re called to be the same. How can this be? We are united in God. The same loving God has blessed each person on this earth with air to breathe and the sun that shines. He sees a divine purpose in each of us. Ask God to help you see each other through His eyes of perfect love. We may be different, but He loves us all the same!

"So, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. " Philippians 2:1.

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
