Dwelling in His Presence

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?"
Psalm 139:7.

Most Christians are familiar with the Scripture inspired words... "In My Presence."

Question to ponder... Why are so many Christians running to and fro across the land trying to experience the presence of God? Simply put, God is with us at all the times! He dwells within our spirit? Because we live such busy and active lives the noise and clamor of our everyday lives try to turn our attention elsewhere. It can become almost impossible to try and squeeze out time to spend with our Creator. But friends, it is possible in our hectic lives to live in constant communion and fellowship with God. How?

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He that has clean hands (soul) and pure hearts (spirit)." Psalm 24:3-4.

God is righteous and holy, these are His attributes, not ours. He wants us to be like the priests of old who did not stop at the Brazen Altar, but carried those hot embers before God's presence as a sweet smelling aroma. God wants us to allow Him to burn up all that is unclean in our souls so that we can boldly approach Him in His Holy Place in our hearts.

"Having, therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus Christ (salvation). By a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; And having the high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith having hearts sprinkled from evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:19:-22.

Is it possible in our hectic lives to live in constant communion and fellowship, dwelling within His presence? Yes! God wants us to know Him, not just in our souls, but in our Spirit (where we experience His Presence).

"All of us were made for God. But when people are told to seek God within, it's like telling them to go to another planet! What is farther away and more unknown than the bottom of our own heart!" Quote by Fenelon some 400 years ago.

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
