Intercessory Prayer

  What's On My Heart Today
My Wilderness Journey "Intercessory Prayer"

When I was asking the Lord about what "pearl's of wisdom" to add to this blog series, I knew that intercessory prayer would be one of them. You see, it was through the faithful prayers of an obedient prayer warrior that I received a "Divine Healing." Prayer is so very dear to my heart. I was introduced to "Throne Room" prayer about 5 years ago. It deeply changed my life. I'd like to think it changed the lives of many of my loved ones who's names I carry to the Throne Room daily. May you be encouraged to seek God's realm of prayer.

When you come to God in prayer, it moves His heart deeply.

"Intercessory Prayer"

"Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens." Psalm 119:89

"Intercessory Prayer"...There is no higher place then Heaven. I believe that it is the very holiest exercise of our boldness as God’s children to intercede through prayer on others behalf? Intercessory prayer is not the same as prayers for yourself. It is the highest privilege connected to our communion with God. It is the power of being used by God for His great work and showing His glory. The Bible says that, when Jesus ascended to heaven, He “Sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). God's Throne Room is a place of grace.

Intercessory prayer and my Divine healing: I have 2 friends that have a heart for the "Prayer Shawl" ministry. A Prayer Shawl is a soft, warm, shawl knitted or crocheted, which is given to persons who needs special support. Before the shawl is delivered, it is prayed over by the one who created the shawl. It was 2 weeks out from my back surgery, I was still in uncontrollable (without medication) pain. One of these dear friends sent me a prayer shawl that she had made specifically for me. The next morning, she sent me a special "Throne room" prayer. The Holy Spirit whispered to my heart to "Put the shawl around my shoulders before I read the prayer." I obeyed. From the beginning words to the Amen...I was healed from ALL pain! I am still pain free 2 months later. That my friend's, is a "Divine Healing!"

Intercessory prayer warriors are needed in every generation. Ezekiel echoes these words; "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Ezekiel 22:30. Intercessory prayer takes place in this spiritual world where the battles for our lives, our families, our friends, and our nation are won and lost. "For there is one God, and one mediator (intercessor) between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5. Jesus was our example for interceding for others through prayer. God is looking for someone to intercede until He intervenes!

Divine Miracles, Yes! God Divinely healed my back and in the process...He healed my wounded heart.

Oh Sis, I'm glad too that I was obedient to The Lord in making the shawl and praying. My heart just broke when I knew you were in such pain. God indeed healed you and we're the instruments He chooses to use. I'm so humbled and so grateful! Bless you!
