Living in Harmony

"So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:6

I was saddened at what I witnessed yesterday, after our election for President of the United States, both, on social media and on our streets! While I strongly believe in freedom of speech, what I saw was hateful and vile! I get disappointment, I really do! We all face issues in life that we disagree with. Believe me, the party on the opposite side felt the same way after the last election. Sadly, walking in unity is one of the greatest challenges in life. Again, this is the area that gives the enemy our power to control our emotions and our actions. As Christians, our life's issue should be centered on Jesus Christ, and not on man. As a true believer in Christ, you have God's Word. You have the truth. Truth is not established by majority opinion, but by the sure foundation of Scripture. Our God is a relational God, and he wants us to experience the blessing of being of unity, not division. And when people live in unity, others notice. Harmony is a powerful witness to the rest of the world. Let this generation be the generation that built a bridge together to living in harmony. Remember, if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand!

"May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus." Romans 15:5

So true! This election has certainly brought out the worse in some people and there seems to be so one-sided. One group wants to be respected for their views while denouncing other for theirs and there's no respect for how we all feel. I know it saddens the heart of God to see us showing hate. It opens the door for Satan to have a heyday in people's lives. I wish they could see the damage they are doing to the generations to follow. I pray that God will help us to pull together to take back our country and what made America great in the first place...freedom to choose.
