Christmas Joy

Christmas Joy

"Being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy." Colossians 1:11

Joy...Ho! Ho! Ho! Tis the season of joy! After all, "It's the most wonderful time of the year." There is no emotion more connected to Christmas than joy. So, why do we often feel exhaustion in the middle of the husstle and bustle of the season? How can we celebrate every day with joy and avoid exhaustion? it's simple, find pockets of joy in your journey. Think of loved ones? Cherish the time spent with your loved ones rather than focusing on the gifts underneath the tree. Missing friends? Send Christmas cards signed with love. Bake Christmas cookies or take a meal to a neighbor. Bless someone who has lost a loved one. The holidays can bring an extra measure of loneliness in this merry season. Maybe it's taking a walk outside in the snow or having a cup of hot cocoa while reading your favorite book by the fire. Most importantly, don't loose the wonder and awe for the true gift of joy at Christmas...The abiding presence of a living Christ. Let's make this holiday purposeful in our hearts. The wonder of Christmas, lasts but a moment, but joy in our Savior will last for eternity. Christmas season often seems too busy, but also preciously wonderful.

"May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo

When you feel your energy is waning, remember that He called Himself "The Life."
