Be Faithful in Prayer

Be Faithful in Prayer

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12.

PRAYER...It is impossible not to take notice of the current state of affairs today. My heart feels heavy and honestly a little hopeless. How can I possibly make a difference? An inconceivable thought! Sometimes, when God speaks, He roars like a lion yet, other times He whispers ever so quietly in our heart. I looked up and saw this picture above my desk and was reminded, "Be faithful in prayer." Almighty God was answering my prayer. Faithfulness in prayer means praying regularly and praying often. I can do that!! Our prayer is not a back-up plan, prayer is a battleplan. We may not be able to do anything in the natural but we can PRAY! "If My people who called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles: 7:14.) Why does Paul encourage us to be faithful in prayer? God acts when we pray. Prayer cost nothing but it is a powerful weapon in the heart of believers. I believe the simplest of prayer brings joy to the heart of God. My we be found faithful in our prayer life, even if our only words are just, "God, please help!" Worry less and pray more. Learn to live in peace of the Almighty God. When we are faithful in prayer He is faithful to answer. "Peace I leave with you..!" John 14:27.

"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23.

"Don't pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees." Corrie ten Boom.

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
