Wonderous Beyond Measure

What's on My Heart Today

Wonderous Beyond Measure

"You alone are the Lord. You have made Heaven, the Heavens of Heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them. The host of Heaven worships You." Nehemiah 9:6.

As I stand and look at the snow-capped mountains looming in front of our home, it never ceases to take my breath away. I stand in awe! Have you ever experienced the sweet exchange, when you captured the magnificence of creation while it stole your breath away? When was the last time you stood in jaw-drop wonder at the creative genius of the God of the universe? Did you dare to imagine the bigger picture; that while you marveled at creation, the Creator was mindful of you? Doesn't that thought just catch your breath? How can we ever have a bad day if we are intentionally aware of every piece of Creation that declares the depth of God's love, power, faithfulness, and nearness to us? To ever feel alone seems impossible! The Word tells us that Christ lives in us and that we have the mind of Christ. That the love of God abounds in our hearts, that we live in the Spirit, not in the flesh, and our body is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. To seek God without taking notice of His Creation is to miss out on the intentional love notes written by the hand of our Heavenly Father. Wonderous Beyond Measure.

"But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds in the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; and the fish in the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?" Job 12:7-10
