David's Heart
"The Lord has sought for a man after His own heart." 1 Samuel 13:14
David's Heart...Every time I hear David's heart mentioned my heart quickens. Oh! That God would see my heart with such love. What does it mean to be someone "after God's heart?" Let's look at the life of David. We all know that David wasn't perfect, far from it! In fact he could do some pretty nasty things. He wrestled vigorously with the reality of sin in his surroundings. So, what was there about David that God so deeply loved? God loved David's heart! David actually blessed God's heart! David had a song on his lips and an outlook on life that made His Creator smile. It was a special feeling a father gets when he sees his son acting with the same heart he has. When God looked into David's heart He saw a man that was completely devoted to Him. Our hearts should be so deeply wrapped around God's heart and like David, we wake up every morning singing His Highest Praise. Worship moves God's heart. May God give us all a heart like David. The next time you spend time in God's Presence try getting up and dancing like David danced! Bless God's heart.
