Honored Guest

What's on My Heart Today

Honored Guest

"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16.

Honored Guest...I sometimes wonder if we give enough credit to the Holy Spirits place in our lives? The Bible tells us that if we are a Christian the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Do you sense His presence close? How much influence do you allow Him to have in your life? The fact is when we face a situation without His council, we will most assuredly make a mess of it.  Jesus knew His disciples would grieve after He went away. He speaks with loving concern, "Let not your heart be troubled." He was making sure the disciples knew that even though they would not see Him, He would still be in their presence. This holds true for us today. Even though we may not feel like He is present with us, He is dwelling inside of us at all times to encourage us, to lead us and to love us. Yet, if we truly believe this way, why do we so often live like we are alone? It's easy to forget the power that is available to us every day through God's Holy Spirit. Even when you feel weak and alone, His power is residing within you. No challenge is insurmountable, because the Holy Spirit is greater than any obstacle you will face. We are the innkeepers of your own heart. Have you treated the Holy spirit like an Honored Guest?

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Romans 15:13.

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
