What's on My Heart Today
Living With Chronic Pain
"And after you have suffered a short time, God, who gives all grace, will make everything right. He will make you strong and support you and keep you from falling." 1 Peter 5:10.
Living With Chronic Pain...If you have been blessed to live a long life you have probably meet the face of chronic pain. Living with chronic pain has become an epidemic today. So many of my friends battle some sort of debilitating chronic pain. This disease really has no face, it lies far beneath the surface and seeks to destroy its target from the inside out. It has many names and few options for treatment. Day after day it grinds away at your joy. You try to stay positive, but some days it’s hard. It’s easy to feel like you’re going through it alone. Rebuilding your life while living with chronic pain can seem like a daunting task. We can choose to believe the lies the enemy whispers in our ear or choose to believe the Word of God. God has promised that He will be with us throughout our journey. "He will never leave us or forsake us." and "He will set us on a high rock where nothing can harm us." (Psalm 27:5). May God grant you great grace; "My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in your weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9). Take heart my aching friends, there is purpose in your pain. "Do not loose heart, though your outer body may be wasting away, your inner Spirit is being renewed day by day." (2 Corinthians 4:16). My prayer for you, may you be blessed with hope for the future (Heaven) and, strength for today.
"Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. "James 1:2-3.
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
