A Mother's Heart...Let's turn our hearts to our mothers. Remembering our mothers is important and how we remember them is crucial to a loving relationship that honors God. Some of us have the most wonderful memories of our mother's and some a very different story. Sadly, not all mother/child relationships weather the storms of life, and many are broken. All mothers are not the same. There is no perfect mother and there's no perfect child. Whether you had a wonderful relationship, or a horrible relationship with your mother, remember, she gave you life. You would not exist without her. All relationships need good forgivers, ready to give grace to each other. God knit us together in our mother's womb, (Psalm 139:13) and He placed us in our mother's arms at birth. There is a oneness between a mother and child that is sacred in God's eyes. It is a unity that God intends to last until death. This alone should give us all pause for gratitude. This Mother's Day, in addition to celebrating our mothers, whether she is by your side, far away or passed to eternity, lets all take the time to remember our mothers (and grandmothers) who dwell in our hearts. Let our hearts be flooded with gratitude for the gift of motherhood.
"She is clothed with strength and dignity: she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction on her tongue." Proverbs 3:25.
