What's On My Heart Today
Garden of our Heart
"Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong." Ephesians 3:17.
Gardens...It's the season for gardening. Be still my heart! 💓 Today, I invite you to come along with me to my garden. In my dreams I have one of those lush English flower gardens, but
honestly, I have never considered myself a person with a green thumb. On the contrary, my attempts at gardening are often laughable. However, several years ago, while on a Spiritual journey through a valley of shadows, I fell in love. I was captivated with gardening. I'm pretty sure Heaven is filled with the vision of these beautiful creations. Since the beginning of time (Eden), gardens have had a special place in God's heart. I believe the Lord has a profound lesson for us in our gardens. Tending our soil (soul). In reality, as beautiful as my garden is, lush gardens do not bloom without careful tending of the soil, so it is within our heart. Daily tending. The beauty of a well-tended garden is captivating and brings joy to the gardener. How's your heart? What kind of harvest will you reap? If you do nothing, you will reap nothing.
"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for out of it flow the springs of life." Proverbs 4:23.
"And then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with daffodils." William Wordsworth
