The Gathering Table

What's On My Heart Today

Gathering Table
💛💛💛

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

The Gathering Table...This week most of us will be blessed to gather in homes to celebrate Thanksgiving. This special event has always been among my favorite days of the year. This girl loves her food and even more so when I can enjoy that food in the company of family or friends. Traditions run deep. We gather around our tables with echos of laughter, good food, and tender stories. When we gather with those we love around the table, face-to-face, it tends to be nourishing to both body and soul. Take a moment to consider this question, does spirituality only happen privately, or can it happen together in a group? A devotional gathering is like a seed that you can carefully water and watch grow, perhaps for years to come. As multiple generations gather for Thanksgiving the holiday offers plenty of opportunities to explore and share your incredible family story. Cozy up to your family story. Preserving family stories isn't just about remembering what happened, it's about passing down family Spiritual roots. Where life is shared and grace is poured out. Take a seat at the table and reflect on the extraordinary blessings that are wrapped up in the most ordinary moments at home. Christ is a guest at every table we gather around. Let Him always be a part of the conversation!

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
