Cornerstone

What's On My Heart Today "Cornerstone"

 

"...Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone"

 

I liken this scripture to Christ being the cornerstone of our home. I am not a builder so I do not even pretend to know the ins and outs of structures, but I do know that when a block or brick building is constructed it all begins with the cornerstone. The strength of that one block determines the strength of the entire building. Our faith in Christ is the cornerstone of our family life and our home. When we had our home built, and we were ready to move in, we put scripture on all our walls and then we prayed over every wall, window and door. We invited Christ to come in and live with us. Because of God's unlimited resources of love and grace, our home is a reflection of His love. Everything that is made available to us, has come to us through Jesus Christ. He is the head of our home and He is the very foundation of everything we believe. What a blessing to have Jesus as our cornerstone.
