A Journey Of Grace (Sisterhood)

 What's On My Heart Today
My Wilderness Journey "A Journey of Grace" (Sisterhood)

This post is dedicated to all my sister's in Christ that stood shoulder to shoulder to me, offering your hands and your hearts. Your words of encouragement sustained me through many dark days. I especially loved your daily text/emails, sharing Scripture and prayers that spoke so deeply to my heart. We so need each other, faith is contagious. A sweet friendship refreshes the soul. I count it a joy to call you "sister's!"

"A Journey of Grace" (Sisterhood)

"Love one another fervently with a pure heart." 1 Peter 1:22

Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love and appreciate my sisterhood! As women of faith, we are set apart. God created women to be nurtures in preparation for motherhood and I think maybe for sisterhood also. On occasion, we need someone to remind us that we are not alone. Life and hardships can be so much sweeter when shared. Sister's also hold each other accountable so we will give God our absolute best and love each other in spite of our flaws.

As sister's, we are prepared to walk beside each other through our difficult seasons. We travel together in spirit on this road of life. We know well that these roads will not always be a smooth journey. We can take comfort in knowing that along our way, we can look forward to the rest areas where friends will be waiting to encourage us to press on.

"They are to teach what is good." Titus 2:3

Titus 2 speaks to us about sound doctrine for women. It is the design God gives us to encourage other sister's. This ministry is often overlooked but very important. We all need each other to walk in faith so that our journey is less a struggle and filled with more joy. Lifting each other up in prayer and adding a listening ear. Just being there for each other under His Shadow!

I love that God weaves us in and out of each others lives. Being a good steward of friendships lives out the love of God flowing through us. It is the responsibility of being a good steward of God's graces. A heart that's known grace is a heart that gives grace. God entrusted us with a very special and unique gift, a gift that has meaning and is very important to Him. We have been blessed to be a blessing to others.

Let's ask God to show us how we can leave a legacy through the friendships we cultivate. A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. You don't have to know her to love her. God may be calling you to be a part of her victory as you intercede on her behalf. You will find that as you stand in the gap for other sister's, you also receive a victory. It is the victory that comes from enlarging your heart.

Let's all build a village of sister's in our heart.
