What's On My Heart Today..."Praying With Boldness"
"And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him." 1 John 5:14-15
When you are with other Christians and it comes time to pray, do you sit with your head down in fear you will be ask to pray? Not everyone is bold enough to pray in the presence of other people. Some are plagued by doubt, fear, and are afraid to pray for a lack of confidence. It’s our spiritual birthright to pray with confidence. Can I tell you a little secret? Those who pray fancy prayers and big words really don't get God's attention anymore then your prayers do. When you pray, are you choosing the words for others to hear or for God's ears alone? When we pray God wants us to be humble. Don't get caught up in what others are hearing in your words. Bold prayers honor God, and God honors bold prayers. Be ready the next time you are called on to pray with boldness. Ask God to give you boldness to pray in the presence of other people! Today, God would say to you...
"Be courageous and I will strengthen your heart."
