What's On My Heart Today ... The Holy Spirit
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14:26
We pray to God and we worship Jesus Christ, what role does the Holy Spirit have in our life? The Holy Spirit is one with God just as your spirit is one with you. He is just as eternal as God the Father and Jesus the Son. He has no color, size, weight, or material substance. He is unseen. Just because He is unseen does not mean He is not real. If you are a follower of Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in you. He communicates with you. He can feel sympathy, affection and compassion. When God’s Word says, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,” it is telling us that He loves us so much that when we insult, ignore, resist or doubt Him, He is grieved. Nothing could be more beneficial to your spiritual development than to deepen your personal acquaintance with Him. Guess what?
You are a living temple of the Holy Spirit!
"Christ will strengthen you through His Spirit in your inner being." Ephesians 3:16
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
