Resurrected Sin

What's On My Heart Today... Resurrected sin

"As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12

If you believe the bible, then you know that when we ask for forgiveness, God forgives and doesn't remember our sins. But, here's the problem I see...We pick and choose what sins we remember. God says in His word, "forget the former things, neither consider the things of old." He wants you to let go and stop remembering the mistakes you made. His Word also says, "He will be merciful and remember our sins no more." So why do we keep reminding Him of them? Worse yet! Why do we keep repeating them? Then we find ourselves living under self condemnation. Deeply ashamed of our own weaknesses. With the exception of Jesus Christ, no person is perfect, so while on earth, we will all continue to deal with sin and its consequences. Jesus gave His followers a pattern for prayer that includes seeking forgiveness every day...

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

God will throw your sins in the Sea of Forgetfulness and place a sign there that reads, No Fishing Allowed!

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
