Spiritual Blindness

"These people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me." Matthew 15:8

Isn't it amazing that we can be so completely blind to our own sin? Our lifestyle reflects our beliefs. It's easy to be a Sunday morning Christian, but from day to day our actions, and our words, will show what's really in our hearts. It doesn't matter how many Bible verses are highlighted in your Bible, if you don't allow the Bible to highlight your life. Here’s an interesting thought, God doesn’t tempt us with sin, but what we allow to reside in our heart will often reveal the sin from within us. If we do not actively pursue the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life daily, it is only a matter of time before our flesh reclaims it's former role as ruler of our heart. One day, God will take your hand and graciously  point your sin out to you, and only then will it be clear to you. God loves you enough to not be finished. He loves you enough to press. Actions and words matter...Don't be blind to sin!
