In the Twinkling of an Eye

Twinkling of an eye: The change will be instant!

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4.

Food for Thought...Suffering! Do you ever get the feeling of hopelessness that consumes your thoughts? Days, weeks, months of agony and suffereing? We live in a fallen world and not one of us are exempt from the difficulties and tragedies that stalk the path of every person that is born. God's eternal perspective is so much broader than our restricted view. He has left us an amazing promise! "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." (Luke 21:28). In one instant! Our pain and suffering, heartache and sorrow...GONE! In the twinkling of an eye, Jesus is going to step from His throne in glory, at the right hand of the Father in Heaven and make His way back to earth. Through this beautiful truth, God is giving us a tiny glimpse into the eternal ages to come. A day is coming where there will no longer be any mourning, crying, or pain. This promise is trustworthy and full of hope that this world is passing and the next is nothing like it. The day is coming when the Lord Himself, will live with men and they will be His people and He will be their God. A day when all wrongs are put right. Joy will replace sorrow, and Jesus Himself will dry every teardrop. Soon and very soon!

"In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." 1 Corinthians 15:52. 

"Not one secret sigh that crosses the portals of our minds, nor one stabbing pain that cuts deep into our hurting hearts is missed by our gracious God of love."
