More Precious Then Gold (God's Word)
God's Word: The everlasting, inspired, life-giving and priceless Word of God.
"How sweet are Your Words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth." Psalm 119:103.
It's impossible to guard against worry today. Daily distractions and worries will always beg for our attention. Now more than ever we need to feel God's comforting presence. Now more then any other time we need to embrace the Word of God. The everlasting, inspired and priceless Word of God. One book full of hope and promise that will provide light in darkness and a lamp to lead us out. We need to place the Bible on the shelf of our heart. Everyday we need to read the Bible and re-read it and read it some more, asking the Lord to speak to us until something jumps off the page into our heart and Spirit. The Word of God is nourishment for the soul, comfort for the heart, help for the afflicted and shelter from the storms of life. "The Words I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63). When we slowly read the Bible through the lens of our heart it reads like a love letter. To fall in love with God's Word requires that we fall in love with the Author Himself. God's Word, the Bible, is Jesus in written form; and Jesus is God's Word in bodily form. God's Word is far more precious then Gold! Have you heard from God today?
