To Know Him

To Know God: To know His Heart. Hear His voice. Hear His Word. Feel His presence.

“And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5.

Thought's for Today...How does an imperfect person love a perfect God? How can we love God with our soul, strength and mind when we can’t see Him or touch Him? Love involves relationship! We know our heart loves many other things besides God. In our busy lives we often wake up without giving God what He deserves. As soon as we wake up our minds are already on the day before us. Details crowd out our first love. There are so many things that are competing for our hearts and attention but God wants our whole heart. God’s love is not found in the circumstances of our lives but in His presence in our lives. The words “love God” sum up the entire Christian life. Our lives should be a worship service to God. That’s the way we were created to be. To love God with all our heart means to make Him our greatest treasure. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be! 

“Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.” Hosea 10:12
