Living Word

What's On My Heart Today

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105.

Living Word...Being honest do you open your Bible every day? The Bible is God 's living word speaking to you and me, teaching, guiding, comforting us as we walk through our daily life. God tells us to hide His Word in our hearts. When I think about something hidden, I imagine a treasure that is hidden because of its great worth. It is special. In the midst of Job's many trials he said, "I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread." (Job 23:12). I especially treasure God's promises. When I am troubled with difficult days or nights, I pray them and claim them in my life. They are hidden in my heart. God designed our faith to feed on His promises. When we learn to trust His Word, our hearts will find peace. I love my Bible. It sustains me when life gets complicated, when I need encouragement, when I need guidance, and when I need to feel the sweet presence of God. If I never owned another book, my precious Bible would be enough. God's Living Word can never be broken.

"Blessed are they that hear the Word of God." Luke 11:28.
