What's On My Heart Today
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds in the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Matthew 6:25-27.
Stop Fussing... Right! This is sort of like telling a woman not to breathe! Seriously, women are masters at worrying! I suppose this comes from being mommies, but really! Why can't we figure out how to stop worrying? Worry doesn't empty tomorrow of it's sorrow, it empties today of our strength. The more we think about our day, the larger the problems become. How much of our valuable time do we waste with worry? Not to mention what worrying does to our health, blood pressure, stomach upset, headaches. Peace is a precious gift and a beautiful blessing to everyone who calls Him Father and must be kept in our deepest closets of our heart.
So, when you are having one of those days where peace is unstable, remember this, worry is the first sign of noticing the enemies presence. At this point, self-evaluation becomes important to close all the cracks that the enemy can enter. Think ahead, plan ahead, but do not worry ahead. Trust your heavenly Father to provide what you can not see. He already knows everything that you need. Make a decision today not to worry about tomorrow, let your heart sing about today, be happy... Stop fussing!
"Worry is carrying tomorrows load with today's strength, carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worry doesn't empty tomorrow of sorrow; but it empties today of strength." Corrie Ten Boom.
"Cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7.
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
