"I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live." Psalm 146:2
Praise... This word has deep meaning to me. It gives me great joy in my heart. Praise is declaring the greatness of someone, for me, it is my God. (Yahweh). One of my favorite examples of praise and worship is found in our Scripture above where King David returned to Jerusalem with the Ark of the Covenant and danced and sang as he entered because he knew how pleased God was with this victory. His worship was a heartfelt, unhindered and grateful connection with God.
Many people think praise and worship is only singing songs at church on Sunday, but it is so much more. It is a condition of the heart. To praise God is to express our love and awe of who He is. Our praise delights Him. He rejoices over us with gladness and quiets us with His love.
"The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save, He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice." Zephaniah 3:17
Praise is a path that brings us to Gods immeasurable love, His power, and His grace. Today, God is seeking true worshipers to worship Him. May you develop a heart of praise... With all my heart I praise You Lord!
"But the hour is coming, and yet is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him." John 4:23
Sweetest Blessing,
Jo
