What's On My Heart Today "Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People"

 

I certainly don't claim to have all the answers to life's puzzling problems. There are many questions we have among believers. Such as, If God is so good, why is there so much suffering? The Word gives us clues.

 

"A man born blind receives sight..."Now Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him saying, " Rabbi, "who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him." I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:1-5.

 

In John 11:3-4, when Jesus went to Martha and Mary's house after Lazarus died, Martha said, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick." Jesus said to Martha, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the son of God may be glorified for it."

 

If we never suffered, we would never need Jesus Christ our Savior, who through His sacrifice on the Cross, we inherited eternal life.
