What's On My Heart Today "Living With Chronic Pain"
"For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock." Psalm 27:5
Living with chronic pain has become an epidemic today. Most everyone I know is battling some sort of auto-immune disease. This disease really has no face, it lies far beneath the surface and seeks to destroy it's target from the inside out. It may not be visible from the outside but it's still debilitating and disabling. It has many names and few options for treatment. Rebuilding your life while living with chronic pain can seem like a daunting task. Day after day it grinds away at our joy. Take comfort in the Word...
And after you have suffered awhile, the God of all grace...will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." 1 Peter 5:10
Take heart my aching friends, God has promised that He will be with us throughout our journey. "He will never leave us or forsake us." and "He will set us on a high rock where nothing can harm us." Ask Him to put you there. May God grant you great grace; "My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in your weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9). Do not lose heart. Though your outer body may be wasting away, your inner Spirit is being renewed day by day. Stand on His promises and sing praises to His Name.
"The joy of the Lord is my strength." Nehemiah 8:10
