What's On My Heart Today "Heavenly Inheritance"
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you." 1 Peter 1:3-4
"Death is a part of living." This saying gives me pause for thought. Even though in actuality, it is true. It speaks to me that death is our final resting place. But, praise God for a living hope! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ into an inheritance that can never be taken away. This inheritance is kept in heaven for all believers. The Apostle Peter tells us that this is a gift for everyone who has been born again into God's family through His son Jesus Christ. All praise to God, the Father, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly realms because we are united with Jesus Christ.
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God.' 1 John 3:1
