Unopened Gifts

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:14 NKJV

One of the greatest and most stunning gifts given to believers is the opportunity to pray, to have an open line of communication between themselves and God. The Bible says to “Pray without ceasing.” We know we should pray. We know the power of prayer. We know that our prayer life is something to be cherished. And yet, for many Christians, this gift remains unopened and unused. In Jesus hours of distress He retreated to pray. He prayed in the morning and at night, alone and with people. The highest and greatest calling of Christians is the ministry of prayer. I encourage you to make a decision to pray more and set up specific plans to support that decision. It’s through prayer that we come into a personal, intimate relationship with our heavenly Father. She who kneels before God can stand before anyone and anything. Open the gift of prayer.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 ESV
