What's On My Heart Today... "Persistence"

Persistence... Have you ever  heard the adage "Persistence pays." There is one in particular story in the Bible that really touches me. It is the story about The Shunammite woman's persistence in bringing her child back to life (2 kings 4:8-37). Her son had just died. The son that God had promised her. The son that she wanted so desperately that she couldn't even let herself dream of ever actually having him. This son, was gone. Dead. Yet she says, "It will be all right." It's hard to imagine having that kind of hope. With hope in her heart that if God could bring this miraculous baby into her life to begin with, He could most assuredly bring him back to life in the same miraculous way. And He did! Sometimes you have to hold onto hope to survive.Today, God would say to you...

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful" Hebrews 10:23
