Woe Is Me

"All the days of the afflicted are evil, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast." Proverbs 15:15

Why me? Sometimes when we've had a long series of disappointing things happen, our Spiritual life begins to suffer. Our peace seems nonexistent. I've been here. It's hard to see past what causes such deep despair. When we park our thoughts in this "woe is me" space, we can begin to feel worthless. The Scripture never teaches that man is worthless. In fact, Jesus taught quite the opposite. He said "what a pity it is for a man to gain the whole world and lose himself!" It is often in our weakness that God is molding us for something better. God wants to do something amazingly wonderful in your life every moment of every day. He can't do that if you are parked in "Woe is me." Open your hands and heart to receive all His blessings. "All the days of the afflicted are evil, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast."

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
