What's On My Heart Today ... Grace
"May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:5-6
You know those Aha moments? Maybe they are Holy Spirit inspired because they certainly get my attention. I'm speaking to this...
NO ONE ELSE THINKS JUST LIKE ME!
Better rephrased...None of us think the same way. While it would be very congenial if we all thought the same way, it's simply not a possibility. Why? Because God gave us that little thing called "Emotions." Here's the thing...In a perfect world, we'd all think the same way when we see lollipops and butterflies, but...we'd all react with a different opinion. Then what? It creates friction and leaves room for "PRIDE." The effects of pride are often hard to detect. Pride plows the way for contempt for the others opinion. So how do we maneuver through these challenging discussions? Let the Word of God be your compass. The Word tells us that this kind of pride has not a single good fruit. Humility is prides opposite.
It is a beautiful Journey of Grace.
"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (James 3:17)
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
