Gate Keeper

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ" Colossians 2:8

"New Age." You have probably heard it spoken in non-secular groups, but rarely will you hear anything spoken about it in churches. This isn't anything new, rather it has been subliminally creeping into Christianity for decades.

Lets take a short look at New Age ...

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). Paul warns us that at the end of the age, inside the church, there will be teachings of demons, quite a serious charge. That it will be a time that is extremely dangerous to believers who do not know the Word correctly and do not watch what they are being taught. The Devil has tailor-made deceptions for every church in every age; he knows the people’s weaknesses to do wrong in certain areas. He will use whomever he can in whatever capacity he can to bring confusion, falsehoods, and destruction, especially if he can target churches.

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." Matthew 7:15

'GOD' - The Christian View
To Christians, God is a personal being who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-good. Furthermore, Scripture consistently draws a strong distinction between God the Creator and His creation.

'GOD' - Secular View
New Agers believe in God. In fact, they believe that everyone and everything is God. Whatever or wherever makes you feel good. So, how many Gods do New Agers believe exist? Just one. Which one you choose.

Be very aware of anything that has the word 'Meditation' attached to it. Understand the difference between the Biblical meaning and the New Age meaning of meditation.

"Not everyone that calls me 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." Matthew 7:21
