Why No

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” 1 John 5:14-15.

Have you asked God for something that you wanted very badly and it never happened? It’s hard when prayer requests go unanswered and our desires go unmet. Hope turns to hopelessness, and our faith turns to despair. Sometimes our plans get in the way of God's divine plan for our life. A no doesn't mean that He doesn't love you, or He doesn't hear your prayers. He may just want to bless you from another angle. We worship a great God whose power is incomparable, who is able, caring and loving. I think of Hannah  in the old testament, "The Lord had closed her womb." (1 Samuel 1:5). But we learn that Hannah was barren on purpose - God's purpose. Here's the thing, Hannah was willing to relinquish the very thing she was asking God for. Are their Hannah's in the world today who waited to hear a 'yes' but only saw a 'no'? Take heart my friend...In His time, God always answers your prayers and His plans will always be greater and more beautiful then all of your disappointment.
