The Bible indicates that "God is love." Love is one of the primary characteristics of God. Since we are created in His image, He has endowed us with the capacity to love. However, our love is conditional, we love based on feelings and emotions that can change from one moment to the next. God's love is unconditional and very different from human love. He doesn't love us because we're lovable. He loves us because He is perfect love. Here's the thing, loving like God requires knowing Him. When we are not abiding daily in His presence, we are not thinking like the Lord. God has set a high standard for love. Allow God to lay someone on your heart today to be a recipient of His perfect love...God is love.
