Your Ways Are Higher

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9.

Ponder this....How often do we try to fix our own problems before we stop to pray? Truth is, through our lifetime, we have become accustomed to fixing our own problems. Instead of taking time to pray, we decided to decide. You see, there is a big problem with these self-proclaimed decisions. Proverbs 14:12 says, "There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to destruction." God sees our whole life from beginning to end. We only see today's needs. Thankfully, the Lord is offering us a bigger vision of life than our limited view. Decisions without God will most often lead us to disappointment! Still, there is a sweetness to our self proclaimed problem solving. Nothing in life is wasted, not even our poor decisions. What we see as road blocks are stepping stones for tomorrow. One day you will look back on God working in your life and you will recognize the divine wisdom in how He led you. Take time to talk to Him the next time you have to make an important decision. Trust that, "God will make everything beautiful in His time." Ecclesiastics 3:11.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6.
