Aging with Grace

What's on My Heart Today

Aging with Grace

"And the glory of your later house will be greater than the former and, in this place, you will have peace." Haggai 2:9.

Today is Memorial Day. A day of Remembrance and Honor.

Aging with Grace...I am all too often reminded, "aging isn't for sissies." If you are like me and blessed to be living in a latter season, I want to encourage you that we are living in the very best years of our life. While God expects us to live our present lives with an anticipation of going home, He has also given us a need to enjoy life right here and right now. Make no mistake, He gave us a purpose, "for such a time as this," How we live today is the real secret to Aging with Grace.

Age is a reality of life we cannot escape. Each day contributes to our life journey. We have come through a myriad of experiences that sometimes seems monotonous, only to be interrupted by life-altering surprises and unforeseen challenges. Our lives also reflect years of collected wisdom and wonderful experiences that lace our path with a treasure trove of memories. Our attitude toward life and ourselves is the deciding factor how we cope with aging. We may not be able to escape the challenges of aging, but we can purpose to view each day as a gift full of possibilities. Live and love every breathtaking moment of your life until God calls you home.

Time is our greatest gift! This time and this place and the people God have placed in our life is our purpose. We are living in the best time of our lives. The very best season of our lives. Chosen cherished and loved for such a time as this. So, sister's, this week lets join hearts and purpose to live, laugh, love and enjoy what's left of our journey living fully with the grace God has given us. Shining His light in an ever-darkening world. This is our time and our mission...this is Aging with Grace.

"Even to your old age, I am He, and even to grey hairs I will carry you! Isaiah 46:4

Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
