What's On My Heart Today "Idols of The Heart"
Monday morning notes from our sermon (Pastor Dale Edwards)
"Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity." Ezekiel 14:3
Food for thought... Do you have things in your life that could be considered an idol? Things like food, entertainment, friendships, games, television, hobbies, computer, phones... If your thinking about things more then your thinking about God, you may have an idol in your heart. Anything that draws you away from God is sin. Don’t believe the lie of the deceiver who whispers it's okay to put God last on your list. Sin will not effect God's love for you, but it will effect your love for God. He will never leave you, but you can leave Him. A devoted heart draws near to God and experiences His presence throughout the day. What if eternity were determined by the effort we sought Him today?
