What's On My Heart Today "Between The Lines"
"We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise." 2 Corinthians 10:2
How's your communication skills? Do you read a text or email, or sit in a conversation with an open mind? Do you automatically see or hear negative words and take offense? Are you hearing your interpretation of what is said? This type of behavior is often birthed out of low self-esteem. Maybe you have been deeply hurt in the past and you struggle with acceptance. Negative thoughts always come out of a wounded soul. Blurred between what you see, what you hear and what you think, lies a little thing called "imagination." You think the worst and act on foolish pride. Negative thoughts lurk around the corners of our mind. This is the enemies territory. If you want to think highly of yourself...think highly of others! "Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2b.
