What Grieves God's Heart

What's On My Heart Today... "What Grieves God's Heart"

“The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5

Sometimes my heart grieves for what God must feel in His heart when He looks at humanity. My husband and I can hardly find a decent movie to watch anymore. Conversations are spattered with profanity and disgusting sexual innuendos. But, do we as Christians grieve God? Yes! We grieve God when we turn a blind eye to sin. Too many Christians have become complacent with what they allow into their thoughts, the sanctity of their heart and in their homes. The disciples came to Jesus with this question: "What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" (Matthew 24:3). Jesus answered, "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." ( Matthew 24:38-39). Today, God would say to you...

"Take every thought captive." 2 Corinthians 10:5
